About me
Dorota Borodziuk, born in year 1988 in Chrzanow, polish artist, designer and painter. Amongst others, a graduate of Pedagogical University of Krakow. In 2014, in the workshop of a habilitated doctor Agnieszka Dutka, defended a master’s thesis with honors, acquiring a title of Master of Arts.
Author of individual and a member of group exhibitions. Laureate of multiple competitions of artistic and sport background. After a break that lasted couple of years Dorota came back to painting, fulfilling her artistic drive by cherished geometry.
Artist Statement
I still cannot fathom how various emotions can be expressed by four angles, two colors and one ray of light.
This is what synergy means to me.

Geometry is the main hero of my work, Symmetrical Magnetism expressed in 360° is the strongest bond connecting me with the square which I pay respect to by exposing it’s depth via scarce color pallete, the contrast of texture and light.
The light is one of the most important elements in my pieces. After my work is done, it starts the dialogue. It defines the touch that you can feel only by direct contact with the object.
Simple form such as tetragon and dressing it in basic colors of white and ebony with additional accent creates a magical relationship where “More is Less” is endless.

I’ve got these degrees because I wanted to! Despite that these professions seem as extremes, for me they became immense inspiration to merge and compose them which soon later bore fruit as extensive written and graphical piece Law Visualisation.
I incorporate the experience and the knowledge gathered throughout the years as UX/UI Designer on a daily basis.

I’m affirming life!

When one of my lungs breathes art, the other does with sport.
I’m national BMX Pump Track and lesser voivodeship bike trial champion. I participate in Runmageddons, liek ice swimming and do yoga. I’m also fan of everything automotive, exploring wilderness on my motorcycle (which is older than me).

Olympus, land of imagination.
Since my early days I’m rather passionate about ancient Olympus and mythology of Jan Parandowski. Creating the genealogical tree of deities was a real treat to my imagination. While climbing the peak of my interest in Olympus and it’s inhabitants, I’ve unintentionally won a title of v-ce champion in a national competition about knowledge of greek deities.

Race… a friend.
Nevertheless, my whole world is the closest family member, plushy on four paws called piggy with which I’ve climbed more than one Olympus. From all the activities in the world, experiencing the nature is just along our way.
